Reflective Middle School Ministry
Middle School years are some of the most crazy years of a young students life! These students need to know they are loved, respected, and understood. With our middle school ministry, we aim to see our students saved and living out their faith every opportunity that arises. Whether it be at home or school, these students will be equipped with knowledge of who Jesus is and what He has done for them. With grades 5-8, we meet on Wednesday nights at 6. Be ready for all kinds of insane games, serious discussions, and growth in our Savior.
Youth Evangelism Conference
Every March, we take our 5th-8th graders to YEC in downtown Nashville, TN. We get to stay at the Opryland Hotel close to downtown Nashville. This great and quick one night trip is always a hit with our students. The students get to miss one day of school for a Christian Conference where they will be challenged to live out their faith or come to know Christ for the very first time. The conference has live worship bands and dynamic speakers.
Every summer, we take a three night summer camp at The Grove at Red Oak Lake in Cordova, TN. From messy slip and slides to obstacle courses on the lake, the students will not want to miss this trip! Each summer camp, we will have a specific theme to go along with that week. Students form Christian relationships with adults and their peers in ways they do not see coming. A typical day at camp consists of rallies, competitive games, hours at the lake, small group time, alone time with God, and a worship service. If any students are interested for Summer Camp 2020, get in touch with Brad Ray.
Children's Choir is an after-school 10 week semester ministry for grades 1-8. We believe that having this time with students is well needed for Godly relationships and knowledge of God's Word. For the middle school ministry, there are many activities that take place during this time: Snack Time, Music, Recreation, Bible lesson. If you need any information about Children's Choir, get in touch with Brad Ray.
Once every month, the middle school ministry has a service night. We believe that serving others is how we live out our faith. It provides opportunities to pray for others, share the Gospel, and grow as Christians. From decorating prayer cards, delivering fruit baskets to shut-ins, or spending time with someone who is hurt, we want to be a part of those opportunities.
For two years now, the middle school ministry has been a part of Judgment House. Judgment House is a walkthrough of different peoples life. When people walk through the different scenes, they will notice eternal decisions made. The goal for this ministry is simply our church goal: To See People Saved and Serving Jesus! Our students help out with acting or delivering food to cast members. This is a great way for middle schoolers to be involved in a church-wide ministry.
