Youth Ministry

Alive Student Ministries

Wednesday Nights

We want to see every student that comes through our youth program at FBC realizes that a Christian is way more about just coming to youth group or church. It’s about a daily walk with God. Trusting in Him in every decision they make in life. Our goal is to see those students serving in Kingdom ministry as a youth. Our prayer is that as they grow closer to God, they will find exactly what God has created them to do on this earth and do it all for His glory. We make it a habit of joint worship every week as a youth group on Wednesday nights at 6 pm. We also want that service to be a time when students are challenged to make decision or commitments in their personal walk with Christ. If you have any questions, contact John Chandler.

Youth Evangelism Conference

Fancy a trip to Nashville? Join us the second weekend in March for the largest Christian gathering of teens in the country. Sponsored by the Tennessee Baptist Association, the two-day conference features some of the top names in music and ministry, and is a great bonding time for our students.

Youth Camp

This Summer, our youth will be traveling to Snowbird Summer Camp. Our dates for this camp are June 28-July 3. If any students are interested in going, please let us know!

Judgment House

FBC has been presenting this awesome gospel message in dramatic form for many years, and has seen many lives changed as a result. Primarily youth-driven, this event takes place in the weeks leading up to Halloween, and features our youth in various scenes as they give the message of hope that only the Gospel can deliver. Whether you like to act in front of the scenes, or work behind the scenes with set design, serving food or directing traffic, there’s definitely a place for you.

Operation Christmas Child

One way we like to give back is through participation in this great cause. As a church, we collect shoe boxes and fill them with items, then spend Thanksgiving weekend at one of their distribution centers helping to pack and ship out thousands of shoe boxes. It’s a rewarding activity to be involved in.

Xtreme Conference

Over Christmas break, we take a trip to Gatlinburg, TN for this exciting conference. While there, we’ll explore the sights and sounds of one of Tennessee’s biggest tourist stops, but more importantly, we will hear some great messages and music that will help you grow in your walk with the Lord.

Prayer Breakfast

Nobody likes to get up early, but sometimes it’s worth it! Join us on the second Tuesday of each month for a prayer breakfast. One of our student leaders will bring the devotion, and we’ll have FREE food! Yes, it’s at 7:00 am, but hey, it’s FREE food! You can DO it!
