Dr. Joey Johnson

Senior Pastor

John Chandler

Associate Pastor of Youth and Families

John began serving at FBC in  August 2012 as Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor for the past four years. Before coming to FBC, John served as Youth Pastor at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church for eight years and has a combined 18 years of ministry experience. John is a 1999 graduate of McNairy Central High School.
John and his wife, Lisa, have been married since December 2000 and they have one son, Will. John's passion is to develop students to pursue what God has called for their lives and see spiritual growth through all ages. John loves to play the drums and go turkey hunting. He is also a Tennessee Vols fan "through thick and thin." 

Will Shelton

Associate Pastor of Small Groups and Multi-Sites

Will began serving at FBC in April 2018. Before coming to FBC, Will served as Youth Minister at Chewalla Baptist Church for nine years and Associate Pastor for one year. Will holds a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the UT Health Science Center. He works as an occupational therapist at AHC McNairy in Selmer.
Will and his wife, Megan, have been married since December 2007. They have four kids, Kolby, Karsyn, Kate, and Kora. Will's passion is planting churches and discipleship. Will loves to travel and deer hunt. 

Brad Ray

Associate Pastor of Worship and Media

Brad began serving at FBC in Summer 2016 as Volunteer Intern. Since then, Brad served as Middle School Minister, and currently serves as Associate Pastor of Music and Media. Brad holds a bachelor's in music education and a master's in education from Bethel University.
Brad and his wife, Valerie, have been married since August 2020.  Brad's passion is to see people from all generations singing, playing instruments, and worshipping together. Brad is still young at heart and loves to play the Xbox in his spare time. 

Jetta Forsythe

Minister of Pastoral Care

Bro. Jetta began serving at FBC in July 2017. Before coming to FBC, Bro Jetta was the senior pastor at seven different churches and interim pastor of ten churches during his 54+ plus years of ministry. Bro. Jetta went to Florida Baptist College for a year and a half, then after some time off, he attended Blue Mountain College and obtained a bachelor's in social work and a minor in Bible.
Bro. Jetta and his wife, Robbie, have been married since July 1959. They have three kids, David, Steve, and Lisa plus seven grandkids and five great-grandkids. Bro. Jetta's passion is to preach the Word with boldness, and to see people saved and serving the church because the church is God's plan. Bro. Jetta enjoys gardening and working in the yard where he can take in the fresh air which opens up a time of thinking and relaxation. 

David Duncan

Multi-Site Worship Leader

David began serving at FBC as Children's Minister from 2013 to 2019 and is currently serving as Mulit-Site Worship Minister since April 2020. Before coming to FBC, David served as Interim Youth Pastor at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. David holds a bachelor's (UT Martin) and a master's (Delta State) in elementary education.
David and his wife, Mary, have been married since May 2009. They have two kids, Reilly and John Dawson. His passion is to lead and develop others in worship. He wants to help others realize their passion for worship. David loves to drum and not a lot of people know that. He also loves to hunt. David said he loves to duck hunt specifically because deer hunting is boring and snakes are out during turkey season. 

Chaseton Whitten

Middle School Minister

Chaseton began serving at FBC in Summer 2019 as Volunteer Intern and began serving as Middle School Minister in September 2020. Before coming to FBC, Chaseton served on the College Ministry Leadership Team at Bellevue Baptist Church from Winter 2018 to Spring 2020. Chaseton is currently pursuing a bachelor's in health science from the University of Memphis and anticipates to graduate in Summer 2021.
Chaseton currently doesn't have a wife or kids, but plans to have both in the future. Chaseton's passion for his life is to grow into the leader God called him to be, and to lead and disciple the Reflect Ministry. Chaseton loves to fish and works out on a daily bases. 

Dylan Parmely

Children's Minister

Dylan began serving at FBC in Spring 2019 as Volunteer Intern, and has served in his current role since August 2019. Before coming to FBC, Dylan  served as Youth Director at Court Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Selmer. Dylan holds an associate's in general studies from Jackson State Community College and is currently working on a bachelor's in biology from Union University. He anticipates to graduate in Spring 2021.
Dylan currently doesn't have a wife or kids. Dylan's passion is spreading the love of Christ so people will know what true, everlasting love is. Dylan loves to go hunting, when he's not doing homework, and watching baseball.
